Post-doctoral Researcher: Dr. Rocío del Pino

Doctor in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of Deusto (Bilbao), specialized in Neuropsychology through the Post grade of Neuropsychological Experts (University of Deusto) and Clinical Psychology in adults through Official Master in Mental Health and Psychological therapies at the University of Deusto. Graduated in Psychology in 2010 from the University of Valencia.

In 2014, she made a predoctoral stay in the Harvard Medical School, department of psychiatry in “Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center” (BIDMC) and “Massachusetts Mental Health Center” Hospitals. During the project, she was involved in the project of “Harvard Adolescent Family High Risk Study” about the neuropsychological efficiency and clinical symptoms of an adolescent with a genetic risk for suffering schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Current projects: the multicentric project of “Normacog” (Normalization and standardization of Neuropsychological Instruments in healthy people) and the “Active aging in severe mental disorders”. Supervisor of the “Cognitive performance across Europe: Building a new element for Normacog” European project (Junior Researcher Programme, University of Cambridge). Neuropsychologist in the study of the gene E46K in patients with Parkinson’s disease (Project: “Study by neuroimaging of carriers of e46K mutation of alphasynuclein gene as a model of idiopathic Lewy body disease”.

Internship tutor in the field of Neuropsychology in the degree of Psychology at the University of Deusto.  Supervisor of Degree’s Final Project in the field of Neuropsychology. She teaches the courses of “Psychometrics” (3rd year Psychology) and “Basic Psychological Processes” (1st year Psychology) at the University of Deusto.
